fun toy June 10, 2010 Master Vader (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
this thing is great! i bought one and had so much fun playing with it i decided i would buy another one. when i went to go buy another one they raised the price on them by $20. now they are unavailable. that made me mad.i don't know who does the pricing on this site so... screw you amazon.
magnet balls are fun! May 17, 2010 Janene Walker (Macomb, MI USA) I got the neo cube for my son for his 23rd birthday. He loves it! It's really amazing how many little magnet balls came in this cube. There are infinite possibilities for this toy. I would not recommend for kids under 10 since the magnets are very strong and very small. Otherwise, enjoy all the fun you can have using your imagination.
not the right choice May 5, 2010 D. Stoeckle I've had a 6x6x6 cube of bucky balls since December, but i needed more. this seemed like the perfect thing to get. Here are a couple statistics compared to the bucky balls:
-weaker pull. Enough to hold together nicely, but you can not swing things on it, etc.
-smaller size (very little size difference, but when put together it makes a differnce)
The overall expirence wasnt good. for around 80 dollars i paid for these magnets. When i opened the box i saw that the carrying case was broken from being put together very lazily. The magnets were not in a 10x10x10 cube, but were mushed into another form.
If quanity is your thing, you should get this.
If quality is your thing, you'd have more fun with a normal set of bucky balls
A lot of fun, but very expensive. May 4, 2010 S. Dunn (Orange County, CA USA) I think mine was used as it did not arrive in the square shape and the felt box it arrived in was damaged. The felt box was not wrapped or protected, just thrown in the box and its all torn up, good thing it was not a gift for someone. The balls were smaller than I was expecting, but its still fun.
Neocube Omega balls compared to Bucky Balls March 30, 2010 O. Mladin (Bucharest, Romania) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I bought 2 Bucky Balls packs and was so impressed by this type of toy that I wanted to get something with a LOT more magnetic balls. So I got the Neocube Omega. I have to say I am a bit dissapointed on two fronts:
1. the balls are smaller that the Bucky Balls ones, not by much but enough to be clearly visible to the eye
2. they are matte and not shiny and mirror-like as the Bucky Balls were.
I wanted to get the best quality magnetic toy of this type I could find. If I had known these 2 issues before, I would have preferred to buy more Bucky Balls packs even if I would've payed more.
If the issues I mentioned above don't bother you though, don't hesitate do buy. Be careful though about placing them near gadgets, pcs etc. And also they could be very easy to swallow by toddlers or pets.
