Lulu is the size of an actual cat, though her mechanical body is much lighter in weight, and she even sheds--thankfully not as much as a real cat, and you don't ever have to worry about allergies. Everything about Lulu is amazingly realistic. Her soft white fur and adorable sounds make it hard not to pet her--especially when she rolls over for a tummy rub or cleans her face with her paw. Lulu has five convenient touch sensors located on her head, back and stomach. It seems that Lulu may also be able to detect motion or sound--when you walk by without touching her she will purr and meow "hello" at you. (To keep this from happening you can easily turn her off.) Lulu arrived with all functions on and operating. I wrapped her and placed her under the tree for my little granddaughter. Whenever I turned the treelights on or off, she meowed. (Scared the piano movers, they thought we had wrapped a live kitty.) We finally removed the package so the little one wouldn't hear the meowing before she opened the gift. Lulu is precious, but you will have to turn her off before bedtime.

Almost scary how real it acts. You forget about it and when you walk by it meows or twitches like a real cat. Great idea and not overly expensive. Best part for a parent is no litter box or vet bills (just batteries) and when the child tires of it you are not stuck taking care of it.

This "toy" is for display and watching rather than cuddling. It is lumpy, breakable, and the fur is not soft. It is synthetic fur, but but even when you comb it, it doesn't stay where it was combed. Not what it's advertised to be. Sorry I bought it for the kids. They were very disappointed.
