This was a really fun puzzle to do. The image on the box doesn't do the assembled puzzle any justice.
This puzzle I would recommend for families for sure. There are so many pieces that anyone can pick up and know right where it goes, or have each person do specific sections that are easy to sort and recognize.
The puzzle does have educational value. It is too small to see on the photo on the box but the little signs of the things they have for sale (food, dolls, etc.) and other details about the Chinese culture are in the artwork and make it fun to discover.
The animals of the Chineze Zodiac are included here. I have not been able to find The Rat but it is neat to go through once it is finished and find all of the animals and other details that make the Chinese Lunar New Year what it is.
The puzzle is easy. I was able to complete this puzzle in 8.5 hours (over 100 pieces per hour). For anyone that is too intimidated to try a 1000 piece, this is one I'd recommend as one to start with that won't be too terribly frustrating or intimidating.
