Very Nice Model March 17, 2009 Randa Garrett 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am collector of model horses. I do not play with them but I do show them. I am very pleased with this model and the coloring is very nice. Breyer has done an outstanding job capturing the Tennessee Walking Horse in a pleasure gait.
Breyer's Beautiful New TWH Mare March 4, 2009 Ardith Carlton (Gunma, Japan) This plastic portrait model of the real champion TWH mare Bluegrass Bandit is balanced to stand well even in its action pose, and is beautifully finished with a muted dapple grey paint job (mine shades to faintly rosy tones on the hindquarters). The details are very nicely done, from the eyewhites to the painted shoes. Much more of a collectible than a toy, this model would be suitable for any horse lover old enough to handle their playthings with respect. (As with all Breyer horses, rough handling will cause scratches in the handpainted finish.) I bought my Bluegrass Bandit through Amazon.com without ever having seen an example of this mold in person, and am very pleased; the model is even nicer than its photo.

Pretty Nice. January 19, 2009 A. Wells (USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Okay, Bandit isn't all that great. She doesn't fit in any saddles. She is a Breyer, and her legs will break and she does get scratched. Mine is really not used very much cause I can't really do anything with her. Please reconsider buying this toy.
