Great sturdy set that will last. August 25, 2010

I researched quite a few. If I had seen this in a store, I would have purchased it right away. It's hard online, but this was the right choice. Sturdy. Not very big. Useful tools. If any downside, the watering can is a bit small. But, it is a great size for my 1.5 yr old right now. You may want to supplement with some sand molds!

I like these toys a lot. My son is 13 months old, and had played with similar sand toys on a playdate, so I knew he liked them (which is a prerequisite for me to buy any large amounts of plastic). These are great-- they keep him away from the more dangerous gardening tools around in our garden, and together with the garden hose, the bucket and watering can provide hours of play for him. We also brought these to the playground for play in the water sprinkler, and all of the other kids wanted to play with them.

it's a great price for such a nice variety of sand toys. This is a dumb reason to like it, too, but I liked the color & shape of the toys. They look cuter & not cheap. my children love them & it's a nice variety. One thing, though, the wheel doesn't work. I don't know if it ever did. But, it's a kit destined or success in the sane, whether they're trying to actually build sand castles or just dig around.

Some other sets may have more items, but may be flimsy. These toys are sturdy and durable. The sand cone is fantastic -- it was the main reason why I bought this set. I have seen standalone sand cones that cost ~$20. My son likes watching the wheel turn and plays with it even without sand.
When we went to the park yesterday, other kids played with our toys. I also saw another family with the same set but slightly different color scheme. Be sure to label your toys with a permanent marker!

Our 14 month old son is loving this more than his expensive Little Tikes 8-in-1 adjustable play yard! He loves to play with his bucket and sand. We also got him a stand up Step2 sand/water table that he loves.
