Product Description Piece together tons of fun with this puzzle that features an undersea adventure. This colorful, detailed Underwater-themed floor puzzle is made of heavy-duty cardboard with an easy-clean surface that helps keep the puzzle looking new. 48 pieces. Measures 36" x 24".
Editorial Review Beginning puzzlers build dexterity and problem-solving abilities with this colorful, 2-by-3-foot floor puzzle. A green-and-blue ocean-floor background is crowded with colorful and weirdly shaped marine life, from octopus to crab, fish, and coral. The complex image builds matching skills for sure, as children use the box picture to identify and place each of the big, easy-to-clean, 48 pieces. Alone or with parent or playmate, this scene makes a fun challenge they'll turn to again and again. Glued and matted, it'll also make a wonderful wall hanging. --Ava Natov

My son loves it February 5, 2010 Katie Barron (Dallas, TX) My 3 year old is very into puzzles, so we got this for him for Christmas. He works it ALL the time, it's very durable (often we'll leave it on the floor for him to play with later and it holds up to him walking on it). Even after working it dozens of times, he still comes back to it, the image is stunning!
Fantastic puzzle, but smells awful! January 29, 2010 Amy Mcfarland (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son just turned 3 and is in love with puzzles. This one is currently his favorite. It's fun to put together but still a little challenging for a kiddo his size. The colors are very vibrant, and there are so many species of fish in the puzzle that we can turn it into a learning and search and find game too once the puzzle is together.
That being said, I have two concerns. First, right out of the box some of the pieces were flaking at the edges. I'm concerned that after putting it together repeatedly that the design will start to peel off entirely. Nearly half the pieces have some sort of peeling going on. Second, it smells AWFUL. We love to get down on the floor and put it together, and there are some serious fumes coming off the pieces. I've left it out to air overnight and the pieces still have a very chemical odor to them. I'm not sure if it's from the glue or the painting process or what, but I'm surprised at the odor.
Lots of fun! January 22, 2010 M. Trejo (Virginia) My kids (3 & 2) had so much fun putting this together with me. The large pieces are great for younger kids and the puzzle is nice and sturdy.
Big, colorful, durable puzzle!!!! Love it... January 17, 2010 Roseta My two grandsons, ages 5 & 8, love this puzzle. It's 2 feet x 3 feet when completed and has extra large, colorful pieces. Of course the size of each piece varies a little, but the approximate size of one piece 5 inches by 6 inches. The pieces lock together well and don't come apart when bumped. They are also thick so they don't bend easily. The kids were so surprised by the size of the pieces when they first saw them and how big the finished puzzle was going to be that they couldn't wait to get started putting it together. I would definitely recommend this item.
great transitional puzzle for toddlers and young children January 12, 2010 amazongrrl (USA) This puzzle is great for 3-6 year olds because of the size of the pieces and the durability of the cardboard-like material it is made from. It's hard to find transitional puzzles that aren't too baby-ish, with only a few large pieces, or too advanced, with tiny pieces that are easily lost or frustrate a young child. The bright colors and subject matter of the M&D puzzles are another plus. Love them!
