This attractive wooden peg puzzle for younger preschoolers has nine removable pieces Little red pegs make it easy for kids to lift the illustrated pieces out of the frame. Each piece shows animal mothers and babies in their natural habitats, and the pictures have a sweet, old-fashioned look. The same pictures that are on the pieces are illustrated on the board, making it easy for little ones to match pieces when reassembling the puzzle. I love these types of puzzles. All 3 of my kids (ages 2 through 5) like to play with it. They're learning about animals, and having fun at the same time! The puzzle is very sturdy, and the knobs are secure. Kind of tough on the feet, but hey-so are legos. ;)
